What a blast!!!
We got to Orlando late Friday night and boy did we come "home" to a super fun house! A game room, movie room, awesome pool, and the big kids had their own room with bunk beds! Owen loved it all!!
Saturday we went to Animal Kingdom. We took a safari ride, lots of fun! We saw elephants, a lion, a cheetah, rhinos, giraffes and lots more! We went to Dinoland and rode our first Disney ride, the triceratops! And we couldnt miss The Festival of The Lion King, which was amazing!
Saturday evening we went to dinner and met Pluto and Goofy (plus eat delicious food and amazing desserts!) The kids had a blast! And I loved watching Little Tate's face when he saw Pluto :)
Sunday we went to Magic Kingdom. Owen was excited to ride the tram and then the monorail! It was awesome to finally see the Castle we all know so well from the Disney movies. (We watched Toy Story 3 yesterday and when Owen saw the castle he said "HEY! That's Disney World!") We rode the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which Owen said he liked but was "just a little bit scary". After that we briefly watched some pirate training! We rode the Magic Carpets, Jonah even got to ride! And then we met Aladdin and Princess Jasmin! Our first signatures in our autograph books :) While waiting in line the guys got some DELICIOUS pineapple ice cream and shared with us! Perfect treat for a hot day (which, it was!) We rode Its a Small World and the Carousel (which Jonah rode 3-4 times and didnt't want off!) We watched the 3D show, Mickey's PhilharMagic. It was so cute! I loved watching Owen reach out trying to grab things flying at us. Caleb was holding Jonah and said he was grabbing things too. :) We went home in the afternoon, had lunch and rest and then headed back to the park in the evening. We rode the Winnie the Pooh ride (which was super cute!) and Buzz Lightyear ride that I think Caleb enjoyed just as much, if not more, than Owen :) (it had guns to shoot!) Some rode the race cars (I couldnt bc no pregnant mama's allowed) and Im bummed I didnt take pictures of Owen riding in these! We watched the fireworks and Tinker Bell descend from the Castle. The show was so beautiful! (too bad I dont know how to take great night time pictures!) After that we saw the Electric Parade which was beautiful too!! It amazes me they do this stuff on a daily bases! So much work goes into each show/parade, but its so worth it! This was our late night, I dont think we got back home til past midnight!
Thankfully we had a low key morning/afternoon Monday. We lounged around the house, swam, napped and then went to Epcot in the late afternoon. We rode Finding Nemo and got to talk to Crush (the turtle from Nemo). We walked around and saw the different countries and ate dinner in "America" ;) We watched Epcots firework show, "Reflections of Earth"--yep, again beautiful!!
Tuesday we headed to Hollywood Studios. I think this was my favorite day! We met Mickey Mouse, Pooh Bear and Handy Manny. We also got some sneak peeks of The Little Einsteins as they walked past :) We watched Playhouse Disney live on stage which was a big hit with our kiddos. Owen caught a gold doubloon from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and was excited to finally put something in his new coin pouch he got from Epcot the night before :) We headed over and watched Muppet Vision 3-D show. We ate lunch at Pizza Planet (from Toy Story). (Yum!) We then headed over and rode Toy Story Mania, which was my favorite ride!! It was set up so cute! Owen loved it and had a blast shooting the gun. After the ride we headed over to watch the Pixar parade. Loved seeing all those characters! We headed home to relax, swim and nap!
Wednesday was our last day :( We had to be out of our house by 11, so we loaded up and went to an outlet mall! The kiddos bought some souvenirs (from a Disney store) and then ate lunch at Lonestar. We had a little time to kill before Caleb and I had to be at the airport so we all went to Chick-fil-A and let the kiddos play and had ice cream :) We said goodbye and then Dan took us to the airport. Neither Owen or Jonah slept on the plane and were pretty wild in the airport prior to our flight (well on our flight too!) Owen insists on kicking the chair in front of him and Jonah insists on pulling the tray table up and down. We had a layover in Baltimore so we ate a quick dinner and then got onto our next flight! Finally after 20 minutes into the flight Jonah went to sleep and stayed asleep until the next morning. Owen slept a few minutes but kept saying "we're landing!!" when really we had 40 minutes still in the air haha!
We got home and the house was 87 degrees!!!!!! HOT!! The boys were up by 7:45 the next morning! Little stinkers :)
We had such a fun trip and are so sad to see its over. How can 5 days go so so quickly??! Owen is non stop talk about Disney, Emma and Allie and wanting to move to Disney World. Today he was pretending to build a house for Uncle Elliott, Aunt Lissa, Emma and Tate. And then he said Meme, Granddad and Allie were going to live there too, and so were we. All the grownups were going to sleep upstairs with the books (no idea where he got this from haha!) and all the little kids were going to sleep downstairs where the toys were :)
We have a busy few weeks ahead! House hunting, a birthday party, 4th of July!
