Update

Waiting for my floors to dry & Caleb to get home so what better time to give a short update!

-Ezra is THREE (and a few months haha) We still need to get to his well check visit! Whoops!

-Ezra is 100% potty trained! He even had his first public bathroom experience today! Success!

-Jonah and Owen have a new "spy club" (Seriously hilarious watching them play!)

-The boys are currently playing Indians. Ezra is Owen's son and they are the only ones left on the tribe. Jonah is the "tree cutter downer".

-Owen is enjoying homeschooling. We're still trying to get into a good groove. I'm thankful for my days at home with him but not gonna lie, Satan often tries to creep in and put all sorts of doubts in my mind.

-Owen's current obsession: Teeny Mates

-I cant believe its November.

-Owen lost his 6th tooth! (and the Tooth fairy forgot to come that night...it did snow ya know!) ;)

-I am feeling 100% back to normal after my surgeries. PTL!

-Daddy is home! Did you know today is National Men Make Dinner Day? ;)

family update!

Obviously blogging has been on the back burner lately! 

{C&T:} Im going to brag on Cale for a minute.  He has been doing awesome with working out/eating healthier and he's lost around 30lbs!! I've lost a few too but um, its no 30! :) C has also been doing well at work and received a promotion! Proud of him! We're gearing up to take a 'honeymoon' in June.  We're dropping the kiddos off at Camp Meme/Granddad and heading to Florida! We're so super excited to have 5 whole days to be lazy! :) I am planning to be on next years MOPS steering team! Excited :) I really enjoyed it while in MI and it was a great way to meet new friends.  We were supposed to go to the Brad Paisley concert last night but O was running fever so we decided to stay home.  Of course when his meds kicked in he was good as new but we had already canceled with our sitter. Thankfully she is able to come next Friday, C and I are going to go to Wine and Canvas for my birthday! 

We had a good visit to MI a couple of weekends ago.  Short but sweet.  My friend Tiffany had a baby shower and our friend Kristin was coming from CT so we wanted to make the trip to see our friends! The boys loved spending the night in a hotel and seeing their old friends.  

Last weekend the boys had a great big surprise waiting for them in the back yard! Their new swing set! So so thankful for all who helped put it together! Thank you Meme and Granddad for early birthday presents! They love love love it!! 

{Owen:} This boy grew an inch in just a few months! His 5T pants are too short! He lost his first tooth in April and his adult tooth is already coming in.  He is currently missing his first track meet due to mentioned above fever.  He is really enjoying track.  Its a Christian bases group so each week they have a memory verse, O has a crazy good memory and can remember the verse after me saying it only a couple of times! Its been good for me to memorize them too.  I had a parent/teacher conference with his teacher a few weeks ago.  They said he is doing great! He is doing 2nd grade math and is doing well with his reading! He has just a couple more weeks of school then its SUMMER time! We're going to make a good Summer bucket list this year and hope it isnt so hot like last year! His current "intos" are basketball (the Pacers!) and sports cards.  He just got a new binder to put them into for filling up his marble jar. 

{Jonah:} This boy also grew an inch in just a few months. He makes me laugh, a lot.  I need to be better about documenting the funny things he says.  He is still into Super Heros and now Hero Factories.  I spent my whole morning and afternoon putting all of their Hero Factories together for them and a week later they're in pieces again :) We're going to do a year of preschool homeschool starting in the Fall! 

{Ezra:} He is 20 months old today! Nuts! Impossible he is almost 2! He has recently discovered the stairs so we had to bust out the baby gate.  And just today he learned how to climb on the ottoman and took a good fall off.  He too makes me laugh a lot.  His little facial expressions are too much! He still is into doggies and loves pulling around his dog on a leash.  He also loves playing with the kitchen, think he's gotten the most use out of it! 

family update!

Taking a small break from the 1,000 blessings post to bring a family update :) It's been awhile.

We've enjoyed about a total of 2 weeks (ok probably more but it doesnt feel like it!) of healthiness over here! Thankfully Caleb and I have managed to avoid most of what our poor boys are catching! From pink eye 3 or 4 times, to high 104+ fevers, to dual action throwing up, to snotty noses and croupy coughs! 

Currently Owen and Ez have fevers.  Owen is on day 5-6 with high fever and Ez on day 2.  Owen has had to miss this entire week of school, which normally he wouldnt mind too much BUT this was letter "O" week, his favorite letter, so he is bummed.  He keeps telling me he was really excited to bring in himself for show and share.  And he really wishes he could hear the letter "O" song.  Poor buddy. I've enjoyed having him home with me though :) He has been sleeping in our room every night this week, which he is enjoying.  

O is enjoying school for the most part.  He says his favorite part of the day is lunch and recess and doing worksheets is boring ;) He is excited to start K in the fall, nervous, but says he is glad he is going half day so he can eat lunch at home with Jonah, Ezra and I.  I'm glad for that too Buddy!

Owen's current thing is football.  Colts, especially. And is convinced he is going to be the Colts quarterback when he grows up :) 

The terrible twos were nothing compared to the terrible three's in this house! That shy, quiet, sweet little two year old Jonah has come out of his shell! :) By all means he is still a big big sweetheart but he knows what he wants and wants what he wants when he wants it (like that, Sis? haha). 

J is into Superhero figures right now. He mostly likes to carry them around and not really do any playing with them.  I'll go tuck him in and his bed will be covered in Superheros, trains, Hot Wheels cars, books, stuffed animals, barley any room for him! He is doing 100x better with dropping his off at church! Ever since he was potty trained its been different.  He must know he is a big boy now and is so brave :) Speaking of PT, he finally learned this week that he is capable of going potty ALL by himself! Though he's done it in the past he would refuse to even try it, insisting we put on his potty seat, pull up/down his pants and put him on the potty.  Lazy stink.  Now he just goes in a does it himself! Thankful for this small victory! 

Ezra is almost 18 months old, what?! He is talking a lot these days and nods his head "yes" at the appropriate times.  My favorite is when I ask him if he's ready for night night and he nods "yes" then waves goodnight to Daddy and brothers :) Thankful for a good sleeper! Ez is also an official walker! He chooses to walk everywhere now instead of crawling, which I love watching! He is turning into Mr. Picky Eater and really could live on crackers, fruit and yogurt.  Those veggies and meat are for the birds! 

The weeks for Caleb and I are about to get busier. Right now, C is meeting about once a week to do a Bible study with a couple of his HS friends and I meet with some neighbor girls to do a Bible study.  Currently we are studying the book The Story (Growing up I didn't really know a lot of the Bible stories so Im really enjoying this!) We have a couples small group every other Friday night (which we really love!) And on the opposite Friday we are a part of a babysitting co op, where we babysit 2 Fridays but get 10 date nights! Awesome trade off, especially when we dont have family close by.  We also just signed Owen up for track.  He is really excited! It's Biblical based, which is so cool! He will have practice every Monday and then track meets on Saturdays (not every Sat but a few!)
